The classic flavor of chocolate and mint is so refreshing and satisfying that I doubt this Keto Chocolate Mint Shake recipe needs much explanation as to what you can expect.
Itâs a fantastic treat after a long day and can be a treat, dessert, or breakfast recipe when you need something sweet quickly.

đ„Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup full-fat coconut milk * use heavy cream if you like a thicker âmilkâ shake.
I think that we can all agree that itâs really easy to over do dairy on Keto.
I am a certified cheese lover but I have a more complicated relationship with cream. It does make for a super fluffy âmilk shakeâ though. The choice is up to you my Keto loving friend.
- 1/2 medium avocado
Avocados add to the creaminess but you can skip if if you want a less dense shake.
- pinch of salt
I love truffle salt and it goes with chocolate in the most delightful way. This is the kind we use.
- 1 tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder *To Taste.
I like three tablespoons of coca powder but not everyone likes their chocolate this dark.
- 4 tablespoons allulose or sweetener of choice to taste.
I am Keto Adapted and use 2 Tbsp but this is often not enough sweetness if you are just starting on a low Carb WOE (Way of Eating).
Your taste buds will eventually change and you will not enjoy super sweet foodsâŠuntil then use enough to make this shake the way you like it.
Keto wonât work long term unless you enjoy your food.
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Almond extract is a nice alternative.
- 1/2 cup ice * to taste
- 5 mint leaves fresh â use 1/4 tsp mint extract (to taste) if you donât have access to fresh mint.
I live in a place where mint grows like crazyâŠfor a few months out of the year.
If you have access to fresh mint, enjoy it. Mint leaves provide a ton of health benefits that you might not know about.
đ©đœâđłHow to Make the Shake:
So yeah. This will be short and sweetâŠ
- Add everything to the blender and blitz. Do not over blend. Taste and add more sweetener or ice if needed.
- Pour and enjoy!
đȘTips:
This Keto Chocolate Mint Shake recipe wonât keep. Enjoy it right away after making it.
Also, do not âover blendâ. Youâll lose that icy thickness quickly if you blend the ice completely back into a liquid state.
Additions you might like to try:
- Chia Seeds
- MCT Oil
- Protein (Be careful with this one. Too much Protein causes weight loss stalls.)
- Inulin â lightly sweet, tons of extra fiber and no aftertaste.
