Our mom + baby fitness are specifically designed for new moms to help you rebuild strength, community, and a sense of self in the year following the arrival of your child. You can expect to sweat, laugh, and meet new friends who are going through the same experiences you are, all with your baby safely by your side. Babies from age 4 weeks (or upon medical clearance) to 12 months are welcome in all Mom + Baby classes. Babies 6 months - 18 months are welcome to join our Mom + Baby LIFT classes.

The best part? We offer 3 classes weekly, and flexible pricing + scheduling, because we know that blow-outs and long nights happen. Check out all the details below, then click here to book your class.

“I really think getting back into shape and feeling “normal” again after pregnancy was all due to the Strong as a Motha classes. Working out after pregnancy is intimidating. This class gave me a place to come where I could feel comfortable working out and not have to worry about hurting myself post-pregnancy.”

“Listen to your body, respect the amazing changes it is going through and adjust your goals to support you through this new chapter in your life.”

ANNA LEVY, B.KIN, CSEP CPT

Anna is a self-proclaimed outdoor enthusiast and weekend warrior. She enjoys backcountry snowboarding and rock climbing with her husband and other rad Moms. But now she does a little more roaming after her twin babies!

Anna believes that birth is the greatest athletic event we can perform and it is important to prepare for it as best as we can. Birth is also one of the greatest unknowns, so the better we can prepare, the better recovery we will have.
When it comes to postnatal training, SLOW is FAST, and it's important to work within your body’s limits and not rush the recovery and strength rebuild.

With a bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, as well as certifications through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) CPT, Fit4Two Pre and Postnatal Specialist, FST Level 2 Therapist, and a background as a Hiking Lead, Anna is an experienced guide and ready to help you achieve your perinatal fitness goals.

“I want Mommas/Birthing Parents to leave feeling strong and successful. You deserve: to fill up your cup, to have fun, to feel energized and empowered. Just because you have had a baby doesn’t mean you are not important. You also don’t need to go through life peeing yourself!”

  • Most women bring their babies in carriers, but we have mats and bolsters to keep them comfy and contained. You are recommended to bring a blanket to lay on and a favourite toy. And if they cry? No worries - your Coach will help to wrangle them, or you can take a break to feed or carry them for a bit. We are all mamas - we get it :)

  • We have a large, women-only locker room area with benches and lockers that you are welcome to use. The studio is accessible 15 minutes before and after class for changes, feedings, and socializing.

  • Sorry, due to the safety of kiddos and mamas alike, max age of in-studio kiddos is 12 months.

  • You bet! All of our class packages are interchangeable - so you can use a 10-pack (excl. Daytime 10-Pack), Intro Offer, or Membership on any of our regular Crush, Flow, or Lift classes (and many do!)

  • YES - with modifications. After 20 weeks you should not spend extended periods of time on your back or front, so let your Coach know before class and they will offer modifications to movements - they are all certified and trained to provide modifications. If your doctor has advised you not to run, you can modify any SKILLMILL movement to a resisted power-walk (and get ready for strollers with a high push!). Prefer lower cardio? Try a Glute Lab class for low-impact banded work that will still let you feel the burn. Check out Coach Anna’s blog post for exercises to modify and avoid while pregnant.

  • Coach Anna is our Postnatal expert! Send her an email to discuss the best option for you.
