Local Announcement: Pamper Your Pup at the New Dogtopia of Bel Air (2)

Dogtopia, the nation’s leading dog daycare, boarding and spa facility, is opening a new location in Bel Air on January 30. Situated at 1427 Rock Spring RD, Dogtopia in Bel Air is offering contact-free, curbside drop-off and pick-up services. In celebration of the opening, Dogtopia of Bel Air will be having an open-house event January 24.

The new location is owned by local entrepreneurs Patti and Joe Miller. Patti is a recently retired first-grade teacher and is excited to pursue her passion for dog daycare in her hometown. The pair did extensive research on the concept of dog daycare and discovered that Dogtopia is the perfect fit for them. They were impressed by the amount of resources and support they have already received from the Dogtopia team and were really drawn in by the Dogtopia Foundation and can’t wait to open their own location.

“I grew up in Bel Air and am very excited to bring a Dogtopia to my community,” said Patti Miller, owner. “Our objective is to enhance the joy of dog parenthood by providing dogs with safe socialization, exercise, education and ultimately making them better canine citizens who are better behaved around other dogs and humans.”

Providing personalized care for Bel Air pups in a fun, safe and comfortable environment, Dogtopia sets the industry standard among dog daycares with its three key benefits: education, exercise and socialization. Dogtopia is the perfect place for pups to gain those important social skills and play with new furry friends.

Dogtopia’s environment allows dogs to feel comfortable, enjoy plenty of playtime and exercise, and the various playrooms offer fun for dogs of similar size and temperament. Each playroom has compressed rubber flooring to ease joints, prevent slipping and promote safer play. Dogtopia gives each dog an opportunity to stay active throughout the day in an environment that is safe and clean, which can give local families a peace of mind.

To ensure the safety of all pups, pet parents and employees, Dogtopia in Bel Air is taking extra safety precautions. Dogtopia maintains a custom cleaning program that utilizes pet-safe products that clean, disinfect and offer the highest level of safety available. The playrooms are sanitized twice daily when the pups are resting, and routine detail cleaning is performed throughout the day. Each playroom has a powerful HVAC system, with in-duct UV lighting that funnels air out of the building to ensure clean, fresh air, and eliminates bad bacteria.

Alongside providing quality care in a healthy, safe and fun daycare center for local pups, the Millers plan on hiring 30 employees and have a son who is planning on opening his own Dogtopia location. Dogtopia also launched the Dogtopia Foundation with the noble cause to enable dogs to positively change our world. The Foundation funds programs focused around three worthy causes: Services Dogs for Veterans, Youth Literacy Programs and Employment Initiatives for Adults with Autism. One hundred percent of funds raised are donated directly to supported organizations. To learn more, visit www.dogtopiafoundation.org.

Dogtopia of Bel Air is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. For more information on Dogtopia of Bel Air, call 410-202-2021or visit dogtopia.com.
