Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday!!
Other than my birthday... but I guess that's not really considered a holiday.
What's not to love about Thanksgiving?!
It's all of my favorite things:
1. SO MUCH delicious food ALL. DAY. LONG. (and leftovers of the delicious food for days to come!)
2. Family and friends
3. Expressing GRATITUDE!
We always go around the table and say what we are grateful for, and every year I am overcome with so much emotion (aka I cry... A LOT. Tears of joy though... that seem to get more voluminous each year...)
I am just so unbelievably FULL of appreciation for this amazing life!!!
No, things aren't always perfect.
They aren't perfect a lot of the time actually. And life can be SO challenging.
But when it comes down to it, I am so beyond grateful for every single experience and person that comes into my life. Good and bad. Happy and sad.
Because life is such an incredible journey. And we are all here to learn and live it TOGETHER!!
On that note, I am SOOOOOO THANKFUL for each and every one of you.
You inspire me every day to continue this blog and pursue my passion of spreading my message that health and wellness can be easy, fun, and DELICIOUS.
We're in this together, friends.
I love you all ❤️

Holy moly these were so good! We were so hesitant because we used to be big hotdog fans before going vegan and we were worried they'd disappoint. They did not!!! My husband threw them on the grill for warming, So yummy and a new staple for BBQ nights at our place!
Seasonal vegetables like squash, beets, and mushrooms are key to making vegan-friendly dishes that are festive for Thanksgiving. Add quinoa, nuts, and beans (like chickpeas or lentils) to create satisfying entrées that everyone at the table will want to try.
If you cut all gluten out of your diet, there's a risk that you could miss out on nutritious whole grains, fiber and micronutrients. Getting enough whole grains in your diet is especially important if you're at risk for heart disease or diabetes.
Tofurky is the brand name of an American vegan turkey replacement (also known as a meat analogue, or, more specifically, tofurkey) made from a blend of wheat protein and organic tofu.
What is alternative turkey and ham made out of? Brands like Tofurky, Field Roast, Gardein, Beyond Meat, Lightlife, and more use plant-based ingredients in the products you can buy for any vegetarian/vegan guests.
Intake and status of vitamin B12, vitamin D, iron, zinc, iodine, calcium and bone turnover markers were generally lower in plant-based dietary patterns compared to meat-eaters. Vegans had the lowest vitamin B12, calcium and iodine intake, and also lower iodine status and lower bone mineral density.
Some turkey brines or marinades as well as injections can contain gluten, so making sure the bird is gluten-free is important. Butterball reports its fresh and frozen turkeys are gluten-free. Look for free-range or organic turkeys as an option.
